Our toddlers range in age from 18 months to 30 months (2 ½ years). The teacher to child ratio is 1:7 and 2:14 . Each teacher has 3-5 children in their primary care group. This means that while all the teachers help care for your child’s needs, each teacher focuses on a small group of children. The teacher is able to learn about each child's developmental stage and teach to their unique developmental needs.
Our approach to child development:
Children not only learn from each other but guide and teach one another
Teachers and children create a warm and enjoyable environment in which learning and skill development prospers
Assistance and encouragement are given to each child as they work towards the goals of:
Development of fine and large motor skills
Learning to recognize the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes
Growth of vocabulary and verbal skills
Independence in dressing
Independence in eating while using the proper utensils
Cleaning-up after oneself
Beginning potty training as each child gains interest
Social skills
