Welcome to the Pre-Kindergarten Classroom

Our pre-kindergarten children range in age from 4-5 years old. The teacher to child
ratio is 1:10 and 2:18.
The pre-kindergarten classroom is designed to prepare children for kindergarten.
Planned developmentally activities are geared toward the goals of enhancing:
• Large motor skills
• Small/fine motor skills
• Language arts including reading and writing
• Social, cognitive and self-help skills
• Creativity and self-expression
• Math
• Science
• Music
• Health
• Cooking
The children will learn reach these goals through:
• Art
• Reading together and on their own
• Science experiments
• Cooking
• Experiences to become aware of changes in surroundings and in life
• Working with others
• Working independently
